Windows 7 is the first operating system of Microsoft during post-Bill Gates and the lackluster performance of Windows Vista has all eyes on the upcoming operating system that is said to be released later this year. This would be a test for Steve Ballmer and his gang who are most likely to be assessed months after the release of Windows 7.

Steve Ballmer has made initial comments that they are proud of what they have accomplished so far post-Gates. He says that the team has grown a lot including himself and people are stepping up one way or the other. In an onstage interview conducted by BusinessWeek Editor in Chief Steve Adler, Steve says:

Schwartz is reported by CNET as the next best thing after Steve Jobs in CEO PRs.

As reported: Steve Jobs may be the best in the business at mesmerizing a crowd, but Jonathan Schwartz of Sun Microsystems rates consideration as a very serious No. 2.

But while Schwartz is steadfast about Sun’s ability to achieve great things, the big difference is that Jobs sells cool stuff that its customers consider to be so much better than that offered by the competition. At Sun, well, it remains a slog.

Could you imagine investors now threatening to file a lawsuit on Apple for Steve Job’s illness on the argument that the company should have notified them earlier to prepare them for a succession plan.

The mere announcement of Steve Job’s medical leave already dropped the company’s share price by 10 percent and a lawsuit announcement against their own is simply dumb and would likely put them in a worse situation than their 10 percent drop.

The sharks are out and it is within Apple’s premises. Give the guy a break, and give Tim Cook some breathing room. They need it at this time.

Steve Jobs has taken a medical leave until July and COO Tim Cook would take the reigns for the meantime. Steve told his employees that his health issues was more complex than he thought.

As a person, it is really sad to see someone get sick and taking a medical leave of absence tells you how serious it could be.

While I am not a fan of Apple, Microsoft wouldn’t be as interesting for reporters without Apple. Steve Jobs without Apple is unthinkable. At least, Bill Gates was able to prepare before stepping down.

Nonetheless, all Techticles want is for Steve Jobs’ speedy and full recovery.
