Rock Band & Guitar Hero Rocket Music Sales

image Rock Band & Guitar Hero has fueled ailing music sales by raking in $2.3 billion in the last three years. This is a needed boost where holiday revenues from conventional music sales dropped 19 percent from the previous year.

Look at Aerosmith where they have acknowledged that sales from Guitar hero: Aerosmith has exceeded any single album sales in the band’s history.

Despite of this ongoing trend, the Music industry wants more as they contend penny earnings from games. Warner music group CEO Edgar Bronfman has previously noted: “The amount being paid to the music industry, even though these games are entirely dependent on the content we own and control is far too small”.

Paging Bronfman, your earnings may be too small but consider this, you didn’t spend billions of dollars on R&D that rocketed console games to success. You are getting vertical earnings for spending nothing.

Maybe Bronfman is jealous with the NLF league who collects 30 percent of revenues from Electronic Arts Madden game.

BodyGuardz Hugs Your Devices With Love

image

When I bought a Zune 80GB player last year, I was disappointed with all the cases that were available because they turned my device bulky and unable to fit comfortably in my pocket pants.

I came across BodyGuardz which are clear and thin as a film but durable enough to protect your gadgets from scratches and wear and tear. Unless you drop your gadget from the second floor of a building, the protection it provides should be enough for most consumers.

As described by the BodyGuardz itself:

Cell Phone Reunion Comedy. The arrogant smug got beaten up.

A funny video about a cell phone reunion from the old cellphone class to the new iPhone.

Apple iPhone – The Exclusive Matrimony of Cell Phone and iPod

Have you ever known about iPhone? If you ask what is the new from Apple, then iPhone is the answer. Certainly, Apple has made development in the computer world. Just say Apple desktops and laptops that have set the normal of audio and video domination, in which most art school students can not live without one. Hence, it can be said that iPhone is a breakthrough gadget today.

Before launching iPhone, Apple focus on multimedia, film editing software and also song playback and graphic design. In recent years, the Apple has worked hard to make its hardware more compatible with the rest of the world. Therefore, Apple iPhone users can connect to PC users easier.

Apple’s name becomes a status symbol as its success as the pacesetter of mp3 player, iPod, and it was just before the business decided to branch out even further. Then, in June of 2007, Apple launched the concept of the iPhone, given that there is really no place that Apple can’t go.

All-in-One for Everyone

The iPhone is one of the most multipurpose cell phone gadgets available anywhere in the market today. A cell phone and an iPod all-in-one, the gadget provides a touch screen, virtual keyboard and shortcut buttons. It functions as an mp3 player, a camera and an internet browser with the use of Wi-Fi connectivity. And similar to all cell phones, it offers text messaging as well as voicemail.

The Apple iPhone is much better than oldest iPods. Users can play videos, watch television and full movies and even download music directly from iTunes right unto the gadget via the Wi-Fi feature. Users can sort music and videos in accordance to songs, artists, albums and genres, and they can even watch the album art for most of their mp3s. The device is available with multiple hard drive sizes, from 4gb to 16gb, though the 4gb model is being discontinued.

Actually with so much space, it is no doubt that so many software programs have been increased for use with the iPhone. The iPhone uses a version of the OS X operating system, the same that is used on Apple’s standard computers. This makes programs like Safari and iTunes to run well.

The regular OS X versions will not work with the iPhone programs as the processor used is diverse though these programs have to be developed specially for the gadget. Even so, many of third-party companies have already begun developing new and better programs for use with the device, hoping to trade in on the phenomenon as well as broaden the usage of their software.

Smart Bro Prepaid Dial failed, do you want to retry?

image

I cannot understand how incompetent the technical people at Smart Philippines are. I always had problems with their Smart Bro Wifi, and now using their Smart Bro Prepaid I get the error message: “Dial failed, do you want to retry?”

After calling their technical support, the guy named Thomas kept me waiting telling me he could not see my number in his computer. He then proceeded to tell me he needs to fill out document reports and send email to the support team to help me out within the next 24 hours. Damn, I do not need internet in the next 24 hours as I would be connected in three hours time. My pressing need is within 30 minutes.

In this booming broadband age, people have a lot of options—Sun Wireless Broadband, PLDT, Globe Broadband, MyDestiny, SkyCable, etc. Consumers would not be happy waiting for 24 hours to have their problems fixed as they can easily switch vendors. In the last four months, my Sun Wireless Broadband has been phenomenal, too bad as I accidentally left it at home.
