I have reported about Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2008 and now the conference is underway here in Seattle. The event is a blast and I am surprise about the number of people attending compared to the SharePoint Conference 2006.

My initial thoughts are as follows:

1. The number of attendees is almost four times that of 2006.
2. The number of vendors exibiting in the conference is almost five times than before.
3. The food is still great as ever.
4. All SharePoint MVPs are speaking in the event.

I would post my notes and day to day activities in the conference here which started on March 2 and ends on March 6.

I informed you that the website of Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2008 is going to provide more information come October 8.

I just checked out the site and it provides information on session tracks, travel, location, expenses and other things you need to know to help you decide whether to join the SharePoint Conference 2008 or not. The SharePoint Conference 2006 was a blast, so I would expect this one is going to be better.

I got an email from the organizers of Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2008 and was informed that details for the breakout sessions would be released on October 8, 2007, that is going to be a day from now.

I hope they release it on that date especially when a lot of companies are evaluating whether to send their people to the conference or not. One most likely consideration is the difference between next year’s SharePoint Conference 2008 and SharePoint Conference 2006.
