A lot of people ask me the things they need to learn and study when they move into SharePoint development. These are the technologies I require them to study and learn:

Gregory S. MacBeth has put up a roadmap towards SharePoint development. I think his list is old given the Frontpage 2003 technology; nonetheless, the list is a pretty good starting point.

I would come up with a SharePoint roadmap for MOSS 2007; for now, use Gregory's roadmap found here.
