OQO Model 2+

image

Here they go again. Remember the first iteration of the OQO Model 1? They were so expensive and could give MAC serious competition for the most expensive paperweights in the world. If only this company sold their initial products the way ASUS launched their Eee PCs, they would have been the dominant force in the market. Their concept was good; but their price was robbery.

Anyways, the features are as follows:

  • 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 (1.33 GHz Z520 an option too)
  • 2GB RAM (1GB optional)
  • 120GB HDD (60GB HDD and 60GB SSD options available)
  • Windows XP Home, Pro and Vista Business options
  • 800×480 5 inch WVGA active matrix touchscreen OLED (LCD also an option)
  • Integrated WWAN option
  • Integrated 802.11 a/b/g WiFi
  • Integrated Bluetooth 2.0
  • Integrated backlit QWERTY keyboard
  • 4500 mAh battery (9000 mAh option available)
  • Size: 5.6 x 3.3 x 1.0 inches and 1.0 lb
  • Their price range is between $999 USD to $1499 USD and another $300 to $500 USD for accessories. Good riddance, not worth the money. In summary, just get the Eee PC T91.

Can a Eee PC T91 fit in a pant pocket? The OQO Model 2+ can. If the form factor turns out to be important to someone, then “just get the Eee PC T91″ will be awful advice for that person.
