It is too bad that Knowledge Network was already dropped. Several months back, I worked for a few months on the beta version of Knowledge Network; but unfortunately it was canned before we could implement that in the enterprise level.
News says that Microsoft would be including Knowledge Network in Office 14 and on SharePoint terms KN would be in SharePoint 2009 given that SharePoint 2009 sits on top of Office 14.
Though I seriously doubt that Knowledge Network would retain its current name and most likely it would be social computing themed. Facebook like? I am looking forward that this technology finally hits the ground.
