1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Click “User Accounts and Family Safety”. On a classic view, click on “User Accounts” icon
4. If not not classic view click “User Accounts” link
3. On the left pane, click “Create a password reset disk”
5. Click Next on Forgotten Password Wizard window
6. Insert a flash drive. A floppy disk can also be used but I strongly suggest against it
7. Choose “portable media drive” on the drop down box
8. Click Next
9. Enter your current account password
10. Click Next
11. Click Next, and finish
12. Store your disk
How to use windows vista reset disk
1. When you do typed an incorrect password, click “ok
2. Click Reset password
3. Follow the wizard
To note: make sure you don’t lock your password my entering an incorrect login multiple times
