How to Guide: Change Windows 7 DTV/DVD Decoder

High definition video is choppy on Windows 7 and this is because of it's native DTV/DVD Decoder files.
Below are the steps to change the DTV/DVD Decoder file in Windows 7:
1. Open Windows Registry
2. Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectShow\Preferred"
3. Right click on "Preferred" folder and click on "Permissions"
4. Click on "Advanced", then "Owner", "Administrators"
5. Put a tick mark on "Replace Owner on subcontainers and objects"
6. Click on "Ok"
7. On the administrators windows (see number 4), check "Full Control" and click on "Ok"
8. On the left hand pane, double click on "{e06d8026-db46-11cf-b4d1-00805f6cbbea}
{31435641-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71}"
9. Replace the "value data entry" with the CLSid of the codec you want to use. Your options include that of Graphstudio, or RadLight Filter Manager.
You can also use this codec: FFDShow - {04FE9017-F873-410E-871E-AB91661A4EF7}
MPCVideoDecoder - {008BAC12-FBAF-497B-9670-BC6F6FBAE2C4}
COREAVC - {09571A4B-F1FE-4C60-9760-DE6D310C7C31}
10. Restart your computer
