How To Guide: Activate Windows Vista after Upgrade or Reinstall of Operating System
This is a how to guide for activating Windows Vista after upgrading it to a new Windows Vista Version (Basic, Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, Ultimate). Usually this happens whenever you purchase a computer with pre-loaded Windows Vista Home or Home Premium and would like to install Business, Enterprise or Ultimate editions:
Activating Windows Vista is required to keep your operating system running with all its functionalities since missing the required time to activate Vista would automatically disable a lof of features rendering Windows Vista useless.
Step 1: Go to Windows Vista Control Panel by clicking on the link found in the start menu.
Step 2: Click "System Maintenance" then "System".
Step 3: The system screen would launch and at the bottom of it is where you can find the product key. Click change product key.
Step 4: Click on next and Windows Vista would start activating your operating system through internet. If for some reason you are unable to activate Windows Vista, you may call your local Microsoft support to assist you.
