Games are collaborative in nature, but violence makes it more into a cancer

I love video games but I have to admit I struggled in Integral Calculus in college getting only around 85% in rating simply because I was hooked up on Diablo 1 and Warcraft II. I was very good in Math and 85% was way below my usual scores, but then again videos games was just awesome.

Nonetheless, I feel for the Game "cancer" group who says of the following on video games:

An expert from the Australian Council on Children and the Media this week told a TV news program the link between violent games and youth violence was stronger than tobacco and cancer.

“It’s much greater than the effect of smoking on lung cancer,” psychologist Dr Wayne Warburton said.

Video games with friends on a camp out requires a lot of technical skills and social skills which include Collaboration during gameplay, teamwork, discussions, meetings, open line communications, chat, shouting out simple keywords known as "tags" in the enterprise. These same concepts are those that I have frequently discussed on the Microsoft SharePoint platform.

As you can see video games promote collaborative skills and uses up a lot of things related to social computing.

I think if game producers just focus on the educative type of games and lessen violence and stupid gameplay, I think video games should teach a lot of people lots of things.

Damn, if they only incorporated integral calculus problem solving on missions in games, then I would have hit two birds with one stone.
