I have the glaring deficiencies of iPhone and I have been a huge fan of Palm OS in the early days and as such, the release of Palm WebOS excites me.

I am also looking into spending my free time developing applications for the platform and Palm is currently opening their doors dubbed as the “early access” program for Palm WebOS developers. This should give developers the chance to test drive their applications using the Palm Mojo SDK.

I am reading this article which says it is always better to use ASP.NET webparts as the SharePoint webparts are simply derived from ASP.NET You only get to use SharePoint webparts when:

1. If you need to do cross page connections
2. Connections between two Web Parts that aren’t in a Web Part zone
3. Client-side connections, or
4. Leverage the data caching infrastructure provided by SharePoint.

What do I think?

If I am deploying the webpart in a SharePoint page I would use the SharePoint webparts, otherwise I use the ASP.NET when working on customized aspx pages deployed in the _layouts folder.

I keep things simple, and avoid any risk of running into trouble during migration, upgrades and stuff.

Also, my webparts would be ready when any of the four reasons stated above becomes a requirement.

As described by Microsoft: You create a content type that is named Duplicate Test on a SharePoint Web site. Then, you create a content type that is named Duplicate Test on the subsite of the SharePoint Web site. If you use the Stsadm command to export the parent site, and then you import the parent site to a new site, you receive the following error message:
