As described by Microsoft: You have more than two content types in a list. You modify content type order on the Change New Button Order and Default Content Type page. After you back up and then restore the SharePoint site, the list becomes inaccessible, and you receive the following error message:

This is an issue in MOSS 2007 and be fixed via this hotfix:
